Dtimmerman89 Posted Thursday at 02:46 PM Posted Thursday at 02:46 PM (edited) This is my current build project. I have a Moebius 1972 Ford F250 Ranger on a 3d printed puller tube chassis with a 3d printed 460 BBF blown methanol injection setup just like the real deal. I have added a lot of scratch built and 3d printed accessories to make this as accurate as I can get it. Edited Thursday at 02:59 PM by Dtimmerman89 Misspelled words 1
Dtimmerman89 Posted Friday at 02:52 AM Author Posted Friday at 02:52 AM (edited) I got some more work in today. I shot a few coats of pearl orange over top of white primer. I got the wheels shot in spaz stix chrome over a gloss black backer. I like the way that spaz stix looks more like a billet or near polished aluminum look vs the AK or Revell chrome that I would have used if I wanted a more realistic chrome effect. I am pretty happy with the results after a quick photo mock-up. Things are moving along nicely. I just need to gloss coat it and then I can start some actual assembly work. It's been a lot of fun so far. From left to right you have a clutch, reverser, left brake, right brake and throttle. Most, but not all have the throttle on a hand control. Under load these trucks use the brakes to steer and they are only located at the front

There's a couple of ways to get your hands on one. You can purchase the STL on Cults3d or if you don't have the means of printing one, mcvproducts.net has them available with and without a chevy square body. There are some issues with many of the parts being out of scale and if you're like me, chopping and replacing is a must. The supplied Hemi engine is a bit thick and lacking details and the body panels of the square body ate super thick. These Super Modified 4wd trucks use a flip top fiberglass body and a kit supplied or vacuformed body are much more accurate in scale thickness. I went with a Moebius kit supplied body. My next one will be vacuformed. 1
