Jürgen M. Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) The Revell chrome spray takes lots of time to cure till you can touch it. Last time I let the parts cure for 10 days which is what I recommend! By the way, putting a clear coat on it is possible but not too early. I put one on 3 days after applying the chrome and it caused a dullness of the chrome. I then tried the same with a water soluble clear coat and got the same result. Best is to leave the parts alone at least a week and then still be very careful handling them. By the way, beautiful old Mack! 👍 Edited May 30 by Jürgen M. 2

Ron G Clear coat dulls it up a bit,,,it's more durable than Alclad though ,,the radiator shell/grille not being a separate part,,makes it a little tough to work around 1

Thanks Brian, what I did was with clear inkjet decal paper print out the lettering in the font I wanted a "dulux gold" color with a black outline, then hit the paper with Tamiya Flat Clear ,then I hand painted each letter inside the black outline with Tamiya Chrome Silver, and then when that dried followed up with Tamiya Clear Yellow and a hint here and there of Tamiya Clear Orange and Clear Red ,,then hit again with Flat Clear 1

Biggu Posted Sunday at 06:43 PM Posted Sunday at 06:43 PM I don’t like this build at all …….. I LOVE this build. !!!!!! What a master piece ! The colors are perfect and precise. This is so true to the real deal , stunning. And the decals are awesome. Is that a homage to the ‘Boston Trucker’? He drives for Cardillo doesn't he? His vids are really good. I can't wait for the next update, Scott. This is a true beauty. I love it 1
