randx0 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) So anyway I stopped by Michael's craft store and was checking stuff out and junk while walking through the wire mesh aisle right next to the armature wire I found some self adhesive covering by Con-Tact for arts and crafts there was a decent looking leather patterned one that looks pretty good for say leather seats or maybe straps for your early stock cars or some older race cars or tonneau covers. also there were some described as silk matte which would look good for seats and other things there were some flocked sheets in red and green .there are a few other different varieties that I feel have that scale look and feel . they come in 8.5x11 sheets varying in counts from three to six depending on the style they were priced at about 5.99 per pack. check it out and let us know what other uses you find for it.hope this is helpful.By the way don't count on the adhesive too much as it isn't that sticky. for the roof I used interfacing and spray adhesive.
