When yoy say model truck are you refering to commercial trucks or medium- to light duty trucks, I'd like to know because I build light duty and medium duty trucks.

It's not commercial only. But it is mostly what you will see here. Here's two of mine. You'll see 18 wheelers, heavy equipment, fire trucks, pickups, light commercial vehicles, vans, etc. A nice mix, but as for me, I usually build what you see in a truckstop parking lot. Of course, I'm a trucker myself. B)

So go on, post what you have. Let's see those trucks, and welcome aboard.

Nick,

From what I understand if it's a truck, be it a Semi, pick up, or even a van, this is the place for it.

Post 'em and if it's in the wrong place, you can yell at me for tellin ya wrong (just not when I have a hang over... :( )

Hello @ all,

I really like to see ''original'' 18 wheelers!

Of course all US trucks are interesting to me.

I can not understand US truck classes, so please if one of you guys could post some pics of trucks of all the classes would be very helpful for me.

Regards Kostas.

Actually, it is commercial trucks. Class 3-8. But an occasional non-commercial truck is always refreshing.

Tim

I stand corrected. I thought it was commercial only, but wasn't sure, that's why my response was as general as it was.

Ok I was wondering because of the 40 models I have built in my 5 years that I have been building (since I was 9) around 30 Have been light duty pickups or vans and medium duty.

Thanks for the heads up fellas.

I wouldn't call an F100 or a Chev C100 or anything like these as a truck, but then that's me I'm an Aussie who calls a truck somehting that's 3 tonne up I don't even call 4x4's trucks but I know the 4wd mob do so I'll leave it at that.

Hey Jim b,

That was very helpful. Now I know. :D

As I wrote, I like 18 wheelers, so I prefer class 7 & 8. But we are here because we love trucks and model trucking so if it is a model & if it is a truck I want to see it. (my opinion) :P

I've found that in the U.S. it depends on where you live. I was raised in Idaho and there a pickup is a pickup and a truck is anything bigger, like a 1 1/2 ton is a truck. But...in Utah, where I live now, a pickup is called a truck but I still call them a pickup. Guess they could be called a pickuptruck which I think they were called orginally in advertisements. Confusing and amusing. :D

Enough on that...back to building models.
