Do those 1930s Bentleys with Merlin/Meteor engines have stock bodies?

Or in other words, will the Merlin engine from an Airfix 1/24 Spitfire fit in a Heller 1/24 Blower Bentley?

I dont have the bentley but i took some pics with the spit engine and a monogram packard which i think is a similar size. maybe they will help. one thing to remember is the engines are mounted backwards in the spit (thanks to acegarageguy for that info). they aren't great pics as i dont want toremove the engine from the sprue but for the packard it looks like it would be a tight but not impossible fit though that is just the block and valve covers without the ancilliaries. Thet still race some of the early aircraft engine cars which must be fun with the chain drives and wooden chassis, and many of them are driven to the track.
