CA Whitecloud Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 (edited) Bent out of the box. I thought I might heat it up and slowly move it into place. I don't have a heat gun. I should have tried the hair dryer...not the BIC lighter. I broke down and bought a new kit, just for the body, so I could keep going. I know most of us don't want to think about the final tally some kits can rack up without even trying. "But honey, it could be new golf clubs." Edited June 15 by CA Whitecloud
Shark Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I usually do the hot water/cold water to try to fix things. Takes awhile.
pulln4dejr Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I believe if you’re asking about the item circled on the right in the “suspended disbelief” pictures that looks like the dragged “Air Pump” introduced in 1969?

Thanks, I was wondering. I thought it was AC sumptin. I do research photos and glean what I can. I was mostly commenting on how model car kits always have the alternator and such floating in air. I'm no mechanic, but even as a kid I knew those belts had tension on them so they couldn't just hang there.

CA Whitecloud Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 Rookie Mistake! So, I was not happy with the top coat after some sanding. I went to give it another shot, put the body on my trusty Tamiya spring stand, gave the body another coat, and left it to dry...outside...in the sun...for a few hours. Coverage and finish is way better...BUT, Warp Factor 10!!
CA Whitecloud Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 (edited) Is it savable? I clamp it and put it in the dehydrator, how hot can I set it before the paint melts? Edited July 9 by CA Whitecloud
