Seen this model in the hobby store I had to buy I remember AMT in 1960 having this as a kit! I was surprised when I opened box to find the same kit re-released today and remembering the axle through the front of the motor how it really annoyed me. One of these days I will buy another kit and rework the front axle and drop in a 3D printer fuel injected motor. I paint it infernal red from Dupli-Color I didn't over detail it after discovering the axle through the motor. I wanted the car to have an appearance of 1960 what somebody would do to a Corvette back then using the American mags wheels I knew someone that had a 1960 Corvette hardtop and I'll tell you it was the most rattling ride I'd ever had. In the seventies I bought a 1966 Corvette coupe and I'll tell you from 1960 to 1966 they sure improved them the only complaint I had with the 66 I got rid of it for one reason I got tired of repairing the body work that people kept on running into it the bumpers on that car weren't worth a damn it either get me in the nose or the ass end. But a fun one to drive especially on the open road and I had the small block in mine and it 24 miles to the gallon that's pretty darn good for a 327 the 350s got lousy gas mileage when they redesigned the blocks for the 350 a little bit of history from someone who owned one.
