deadline is october 2nd which leaves about 6 weeks to build it

ive build cars in less then that though never as heavily modified as this puppy

so if you want in we got open spots

sweeet !!! ohh and it will smoke (from the tires not the exhaust ). with 590hp anythangs possible .

yeah man those rear wheels are huge. and that spoiler will keep that thang on the ground (hopefully ) i was thinkin' i should paint the rims either gold or black. wat do you think?

depends on the body of the car

if it stays white i would go with gold rims

or better yet, gold rims but with a chrome lip

yeah i'm gonna keep it white. gold with a chrome lip sounds good. i just gotta find out how i'm gonna tape off the lip to paint the inside gold. there not two-piece so i can't take out the middle and just paint it. mmmmmmmmmmmmm

alls you need is a brush and a steady hand

thats how i added the gold accents to these rims

Paintbrush would work well if you are steady enough, however I prefer using 1/8th inch tape, or for that rear wheel 1/4 inch tape, then airbrush or even rattle can would work. I've done that on a set of Mustang rims and doing it on my drift car as well.

So far the extensions are going well. I ended up just using an exacto knife, cut my finger really bad, but it was worth it, but just so you know it wasn't while cutting, I put my exacto knife down wrong and picked up the wrong end so. Anyway I only need to cut a pice of plastic for the front end, then going use some body filler to smooth everything out. Going to get some screen door material for the vent then it will be on to the back end. Hope to have this done by deadline!

hey guys. me and my 240z are going to have to duck out of this buildoff. lately i've come across a lot of issues at home, and with the now former fiance' that has left me, i have zero drive for the hobby, combine that with school starting next week, and gearing up for an afghanistan deployment in january, i will have no time at all to work on the 240, let alone the other 4-5 builds i have going on...

i totally agree with the wheels

i mixed up a batch of paint to match the striping on the side of the body

then, when i sprayed it and it dried it looked almost black purple

not what i intended

i have a bottle of pearl bleu that i got for the vic in building

i might give the wheels a do over with that

I had to use some bondo to smooth it out, so as soon as I get it taken care of ill put pictures of. Im not talented enough to just use plastic. I wonder how so many people are able to cut the little pieces and glue them. much respect.

this is today's progress. It is very rough, but I will get it finished by tomorrow. Then I am going to get the back done hopefully by the end of the week, so that leaves the weekend to do the other side, it should hopefully go faster seeings how I will have done it once already.

My plan is to use a chrome base, then use transparent colors over it.

Instead of the Green Yellow and Red I am sticking to Green and Blue. Those are my race team colors.
