1964 Studebaker Avanti

1/25 scale AMT 1964 Studebaker Avanti in custom Chrome Yellow with black interior.

Is this a recent build or vintage? the reason i ask is because of the HT leads.I like it

@TyremanThanks! It's an older build that was refurbished. This yellow Avanti is a reissued version of the kit from many years ago. My green Avanti is the original from '63 which was in pieces in the box and the original builder had the engine partially wired with threads which is where the idea for the yellow car came from.

I love the 1:1 and the build....one of the cars i mention to none car people and they love it! i prefer the looks to the Etype...this is Gender neautral so everyone likes... perfection in design.

A stunning car! is the mustang for sale? an interesting way to look at it? what are you trying to say? any problems? here to talk my Mustang 2 a daily driver 3 years RHD.

Good to see this. In 1963 I built the original release of the Avanti kit. Thinking it was an AMT. Good memories of this unusual design car. Congratulations.

@TyremanNice Mustang II and looks like somewhere in Europe. That black Mustang belongs to another enthusiast. 

No problem at all. I meant the way you said everyone likes the Avanti including non car people was an interesting view. I guess it has its fans in Europe as the car has some 'European flavour' to it. However the Avanti doesn't appear to have enough fans here in North America. It's quite different compared to other American cars of the era and also those that came after it a decade or two later. Sales were poor and the companies that tried to keep the car in production after Studebaker went out of business didn't have much luck either.

An interesting view yes...show someone who knows nothing and they like them!....now cars Italian with an American V8 all the rage here... junk to them a few years ago not 100% Italian..the Pantera a good example....the same people poo poo a Mustang BOSS 351....i will take the Mustang any day..... we both know the Avanti a great car!
