nickfzr61 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Hi All In the 80’s I bought a 1/12 scale F1 kit for around $125.00. This was a multi media kit with what I think was resin, white metal parts, wires and hoses and I think some photo etch. I don’t remember which company made the kit or what car it was. I think maybe a Lotus. I didn’t have the skill back then to complete such a build so it disappeared into the anals of neglect. Long gone but always on my mind. The one thing I do remember with 100% certainty is the kit supplied a hypodermic needle to inflate the soft rubber tires. I’ve searched the web for years and have never got a hit. Does this ring any bells for anyone?
Matt Bacon Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Sounds like it could be Model Factory Hiro… they started in 1989. best, M.
nickfzr61 Posted July 5 Author Posted July 5 MFH was the first one I thought of too but searches found nothing that mentioned the syringe to put air in the tires. That’s the main thing that I think differentiates this from the common large scale kits.
