Revell C8 Corvette Decals

I have the US ersion of this kit and it only come with Black & White stripes.

I saw one of these kits in a picture from the Houston show yesterday that has Yellow stripes.

Are these in the Germany kit or does someone make an aftermarket set?

I tried looking online and found a review of the Revell of Germany version of the kit that shows the decal sheet, and it doesn't show any stripes at all.  I also tried looking to see if I could find anyone listing any stripe decals for the kit, but could not find any.  It's possible those were either painted on or custom made.

Thanks for the info. I agree they could be painted. I wasn't at the show to ask the builder.

I checked a link to pics someone posted from the show I think you were talking about.  Is this the Corvette you were talking about?  I found a website online that offers stripe kits for the real car, I was going to see about scaling them to the kit and then see about doing them in different colors.

Why not just sent the kit decal sheet with the stripes to STS and have them make you a copy of them in yellow.

Saves a lot of work and if they're an exact copy except for the color you know they'll fit. 

A set re-sized from the real car set would be a lot of extra work [you'll have to pay for] and may not fit the kit right in the end.

That is the car I was looking at. I think the 1:1 might not work even if they were scaled since they are usually done in vinyl.

Wow that is great Steve. When will we know if they will do them? I would actally like 2 sets one in silver & onein yellow

You'd have to get ahold of them Len. I'm sure they can easily do them.

When I had these made I just sent them a pic of the decal sheet I had and had them make the strips to the length and height I specified. 

I could have just sent them the sheet I have from the kit and they would copy the decals you want. I'd suggest to go that route for the Vette decals as they're a more complicated shape.

As you can see, they can do them in any color, these are just the ones I asked for.
