G’day all, being a fan of the Camaro, l thought I’d give this one a shot.IMG_2719.jpeg.5cffdfacf601ef78ac081622f2187766.jpegAs always I started with the body. As many of you will be aware, this tool is the late 70’s one with the T-Tops filled in to represent a solid roof Camaro. My copy had some indentations where the t-tops were that had to be dealt with.IMG_2605.jpeg.567ee5e2654402498c45ba5f8a9cad6d.jpegNot being familiar with the Stranger Things series, I wasn’t going to build it as that. The kit fortunately had 2 sets of Z28 stripes on the decal sheet. After looking at factory colours, I settled for code 29 dark blue. Tamiya TS-53 deep metallic blue was a close match so I ran with that. After painting, I applied the stripes ( the hood one was a pain! ) and cleared with Mr super clear uv cut gloss, the guy at my local hobby shop talked me into trying it, and l was pretty impressed, not as hot as TS-13, so was able to be applied over decals in thicker coats. IMG_2716.jpeg.3908b654e2b52448f91343898a660413.jpegIMG_2718.jpeg.7bbbd409d58222ab94760d43eaf717e0.jpegIMG_2717.jpeg.e18349a8352e943f0f261dcde2a2c092.jpegShouldn’t need too much polishing out. I’ll put it aside to harden out and in the meantime, I’ve got several other builds that need some attention. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.

Thanks guys. I sprayed the TS-53 over a black base, may have made it a shade darker, but it really pops in the sun. I don’t really know how I’m going to build it, I’m thinking basically a standard Z28, but with a lowered stance and some nice modern custom wheels.  Thanks for looking. 👍🏻
