I remember them showing on the news that they're looking for a guy in Canada who keeps losing truck mud flaps! 😁 Actuality in all reality, thinking hard on that I think I only tore two off. One was when they had the flaps mounted to the dump box way back in the day and we were butt oiling gravel and I got too close to the pile due to inexperience and the second time was when we were hauling shot rock and a big chunk of rock fell between the rock pile and the rear tire. When I pulled ahead slowly so the rocks wouldn’t fall against a brake chamber it, instead pulled the dang flap off. 🙄Then it was a trip back to the barn to fix it 😘 Edited Saturday at 02:32 PM by Biggu
BK9300 Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM Posted Saturday at 08:34 PM Apart from printing most of your own parts, you also hand fabricate other, custom pieces to add in, too! Great progress, Jurgen, and I hear you may have another resin printed hood and cab on their way to you. Going to look wonderful. 1
Jürgen M. Posted Saturday at 08:52 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:52 PM Yes Brian, thanks! Bren has printed the body parts and a few others for me! Thanks again Bren! You're great! 👍 I'm sure that'll make it perfect! You'll all see pics when I have the parts! 3
Jürgen M. Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago Some small stuff: I made the hand rails out of tiny printed parts (I was amazed that they came out so well on my printer despite the size) and 1mm brass rod: Perfect fit: Finished: 1
Jürgen M. Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Thanks Brian! Printing those tiny pieces is always an adventure. I had done some adjusting in the slicer and it seems to have payed off! Chassis is painted now. Pics will follow when it's dry!
