This is an annual event, and the turnout is amazing especially since a neighboring town has their car show on Friday as part of their town's annual celebration.

The 66 Nova looked pretty cool

Glad you like it. I always try and get pictures of cars and trucks that I haven't seen at the show before. The owner has a side business of buying and selling Novas from the '66 & '67 era. This car has an exceptional combination of equipment, and he has build sheets and other documentation to back it up. The color was offered starting with the spring '67 production and could be had on Chevelles as well as Impalas and has to be seen in the bright sunlight to full appreciate how it looks. The engine is the 350 hp 327 cu in that is from the Corvette line. The close ratio 4-speed, Postreaction rear end, Disc Brakes, and dealer installed Chevrolet under dash Air Conditioning are all documented. If someone wanted the biggest and baddest Nova of the day this would have been it.

Beautiful cars!  The gasser was legit! That baby blue looked geat.

Hi Mike. That little '53 is done really well. I didn't get to talk to the owner, but it looked like it was more than a posser. The workmanship on the engine and the way the front sheet metal was supported to clear the fender well headers and notice the heat blankets glued on the inside of the front fenders so that the paint wouldn't blister. Liget looking roll bars inside and strictly business everywhere you looked. A lot more drag race-based cars this year including a Rail job.

David,

Yeah that rail means serious business.  I appreciate you taking the time to share your trip to the show. Lots of good ideas for kits.
