Trying something a little different. I stripped the chrome, going to paint it all flat black. I cut the chassis to fit large drag tires. I painted the body seafoam green.IMG_8574.jpeg.15effcda46ed50febe56113948792abb.jpegIMG_8573.jpeg.20cb1106e0b240c5a3b2e14895ff8d5e.jpegIMG_8571.jpeg.5a4431e0357b8872a3fa01c158a3fe21.jpegIMG_8560.jpeg.cf1450ae9dc4bd4ae818860043f99c5b.jpegIMG_8569.jpeg.422a6655b95ee4600a5d58ebc2ee322e.jpeg

I like the concept, there's something about a 5000 lbs car hauling down the strip that's just cool to me. What's the plan for the drivetrain?

Not sure yet, I have a 426 hemi I may try to shoehorn in.

The big hemi would fit the bill. Gonna pay attention to this one. I like that color, there's a guy on YouTube with one in the same color, an old diesel taxi. Check out "perky" at dead dodge garage.

I was exaggerating a bit, but honestly expected it to be a little heavier. Kinda surprised by that.

Those old cars don't weigh as much as they seem to.. My dad was floored when he learned what his 4 door sedan '57 Bel Air weighed when it was being restored several years ago..
