okazaki0511 Posted November 8 Author Posted November 8 Update some progress Almost all the panel lines are too thick so I filled them in and re-scribed everything, especially since the fuel cap was misaligned. As with the Halo, I glued it in place first, filled the gaps, and then applied gray primer at the end to check the surface. 1
absmiami Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Interesting - did you use the Tamiya UV putty to fill the panel lines- i want to try it …. Not familiar w kit - could you post a picture ?

Not familiar w kit - could you post a picture ? I used super glue mixed with regular gray putty to fill the panel lines. It’s also my first time building a kit from this manufacturer — it’s a Yokohama Hobby Forum limited edition, and it’s basically similar to Studio27's kit... Edited November 10 by okazaki0511
shoeman Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Wow, nice work so far. The super glue and putty trick is interesting, Going to have to try that. Seeing the body in primer like that sure looks like something out of Star Wars. I'm looking forward to your progress. 1
dphipps Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Great detail work. I don't have the patience for this level but it definitely makes a difference in your last shot. I like the duplo workstand too! 1
okazaki0511 Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Thank you for your appreciation. I’m working on the other red parts as well. The rear wing also needs to be glued and the gaps filled first, but it’s quite tricky to get the alignment and symmetry right.
