1965 Chevelle Malibu SS build replica of fellow car club members car.

This one was a bit of a challenge as I had to build an almost stock SBC version of a 65 SS using the AMT kit that came with the big block.  Luckily he had left over paint so I was able to air brush that.   The biggest challenge was the rear end, as it's completely different on the regular SS not the Z16.  That and the fact that the small block has a spacer between the radiator and the support to move it back to the motor.  I did add some stuff to the model that aren't on his car yet, such as the bumper guards, wheel opening chrome, windshield wipers and washer tank. Those are in the works.  Overall I'm happy and he's stoked so that's all that matters.  Made the license plate decal and had the SS one from my stash.

Beautiful.  I miss having a Chevelle.  The Challenger is nice, but the Chevelle.........it's a whole different vibe.
