1961 Joe weatherly interior question

I am starting the 1961 Pontiac of Joe Weatherly from Mobieus models and was wondering if the car had the stock door panels or were they aluminum? I looked around and couldn't
seem to get any good interior shots on the internet, any body have any info on this? 

I was thinking of removing the door handles and window cranks and drilling hole where they would be but not sure if that would be correct. Thanks in advance!

In this picture it looks like a simple aluminum panel.

Thanks John, I think I’m going to go with aluminum panels, looks more like a racer!
