junkyardjeff Posted Sunday at 12:30 AM Posted Sunday at 12:30 AM Does anyone know if a 33 to 41 Willys kit was ever made as I would love to have one,I am taking a 41 street rod version and putting a flathead six in it to make something different. I do have some resin parts to build a stock bodied 33 which I need to get out and build but a 38 to 41 stock coupe would be great.
Chris V Posted Sunday at 04:08 AM Posted Sunday at 04:08 AM A stock 1933-41 Willys has never been kitted, but kitbashing will get you a long way. I’d recommend using Revell/Monogram’s “New Tool” gasser as base, adding dash and brightwork parts from the old Revell Stone, Woods and Cook kit, front axle from AMT’s 1933 Willys Coupé/Delivery, the 4-cylinder Willys flathead from AMT’s “Hogans Heroes” Jeep, and the steel wheels from IMC/Union/Testors’ 1946-48 Ford Kits.
junkyardjeff Posted Sunday at 12:28 PM Author Posted Sunday at 12:28 PM I received a non gasser/street rod 41 that I am making into a old race car that was put back on the street with parts I have in stock. I will look into those kits to make a more stock looking Willys in the future.I would have tried to make a more stock looking Willys with the body I have but the rear wheel openings are too large so the old race car put back on the street was more appropriate.
