Using the AMT 55 Chevy kit. I’m going to try to beat up the body to make it look well used, then try my first attempt at weathering.

I sanded the trim and drilled holes where the door handles, keyholes and trim were.

I spent game four of the World Series opening up the driver’s side door, took eight innings.IMG_8643.jpeg.ed3b16a8ae9b335ccc810604ec7b4301.jpegIMG_8644.jpeg.592c691977096c5cb26ee43c64c2b09a.jpegIMG_8646.jpeg.5e5bcd62760e487822a1d5d319f3e5db.jpegIMG_8649.jpeg.c8235fafad61e06cfe3e6af7526bf13a.jpeg

Now that was when racing was really great!!! Planning on something like myself, one of these days. I’ll be following right along with you.

@Horrorshow, I get opening the truck for fuel cell access. What are your thoughts as far as opening up the doors? For race damage? I’m not being critical at all, just trying to gather ideas.

I’m going to rust out the bottom of the doors since it will be sitting in a field for 50 years, and yes, damage. I plan to reattach them slightly askew.

Thank you for the reply Jack. This  build just got even more interesting! Looking forward to the ride, I’ll just be sitting quietly in the corner watching lol.
