greenday Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) Hello everyone! This is a model I finished a while back for my little cousin. It is a Polar Lights '65 GTO. Clearly the decals from a Jeff Gordon model kit were applied at the suggestion of my NASCAR loving cousin. (Well, I had a part in it too) This kit was supposed a snap-together w/o paint or glue, but believe you me, it needed it. The parts were all weird colors and sometimes the simple snap construction needed the extra adhesion of glue. But, it was a very good kit, it went together nicely w/o a hitch, and the pre-painted plastic body is fantastic and saves a lot of time. (I thought it was die-cast!) I was pretty impressed by the detail in the kit and would reccomend it for any GTO fan. Thanks! stw Edited May 25, 2009 by greenday
RodneyBad Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 It's a '64 GTO,not '65. Gee........ Looks like it went together well. Welcome aboard.
george 53 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 That's a NICE kit for a Semi-snapper ain't it? Yours came out REAL nice. Nice thing about it is, he can roll it around an play with it, as true modelers are known to do Nice clean build, looks good!
greenday Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Thanks everyone! I know it isn't a 1965. I looked everywhere to find out, but the one year I didn't try was 1964. Then I found the model package and sure enough, '64. I prefer the others myself though, I like vertical lights better than the horizontal. Also, I made sure to get a couple photos before he took it for a spin...the roads he travels on and the way he drives just isn't very easy on those old cars....hehe
