Did some test fitting, redrilling and sanding on the pivot plates and rear mount. Little more clean up left to do. Got the tire wheel combo picked out, it's my second choice set up, but it will look good. No luck so far finding the AMT 9.00 x 15  slicks, so I may have to use an alterative tire. Made a new bulb for the shift light.

Thanks everyone for the interest in this build.  I use an old Samsung android for the photo's . The fan belt came from Machined Aluminum Specialties, was part of a pro stock detailing system that I bought about 15 years ago. I got lucky, the belt fit perfectly. Here are some pics of fan belts that I have. The Model Car Garage is a little thick, but could work. Off the Sprue  seems more in scale, it's thin rubber, downside is it has to be glued together, which at all cost I was trying to avoid.  Hope this helps.

If youre looking for 9" slicks I really like the ones offered by texas3dcustoms.  They are the M&H racemasters which he makes in a few sizes, but the smallest of the bunch resembles a roughly 29 or 30"x9" slick.  I used them on the last el camino build. I used the rough reverse side and smoothed it out to have a blank sidewall. Im not sure if the AMT tires youre referring to are the newer style hollow tires or not but alot of the 90s era 2 n 1 kits also have a pretty good representation of a goodyear 9" slick except they're solid rather than hollow (better for fitting a wheel in them).  The texas3d tire on the left and the AMT solid rubber (smoothed the sidewall out) on the right.

Only time on the bench today was to sip some coffee before heading out. I did manage early this week to get all the suspension parts cleaned up and ready for primer and painting. Firewall and roll cage also done.  I did order slicks from Texas 3D Customs (thanks Phil for the info) that I'll check out when they arrive. The slicks I have for the build measure out to a little over 9 scale inches. I did a complete test fit yesterday of everything and gave it my blessing. Waiting for the body paint from MCW.

Made a slight adjustment to the roll cage. I'm not sure if I'm completely happy with it. I may built another one.
