This is an interesting build because it started with a mistake.  I am in the process of building a replica of my dad's 1940 Ford pickup.  He wanted (but never aquired) a set of 1956 Chevy rear fenders for it.  I went to eBay to find a set when I came upon a listing for a 1956 Chevy junk box!  Cheap!  I purchased it without investigating surprised to find anything.  Mistake for when it arrived it was a 1953 Ford in the AMT 1956 Chevy box😮‍💨.  Well I found the Chevy fenders later but started looking through the junk box from curiosity. One thing led to another and this is the result.  Too much money spent but a great learning experience that will help with the 1940. Since the front suspension did not have rings I made some from ball point pen. The paint was something I wanted to try with Tamiya clear Orange based with a metalic silver.  I am terrible at painting so this also is giving me some experience.  Some of the things I have learned will help give the old man 40 replica justest.
