FoMoCo66 Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Beautiful engine detailing! If I may ask, what did you do for your distributor? It looks like you put your wires in a bigger diameter wire insulation then wrapped that. 1
dino246gt Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 I got that saw from my friend Dave, he buys from China in bulk and sells locally. He's NOT on the computer though.
dino246gt Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 My distributor is one of Greg Stegall's, I use them all the time, I think they're great. No shrink wrap, just the .030 wires with slightly larger wire insulation for boots at both ends. I always cut off the thin shaft and open up the intake manifold for the dizzy to sit lower down. I bought a bunch of his with angled boots but they ARE too large, may be good for 1/18th scale, I can't use them on any of my builds. 1

I'm on my 3rd distributor from Greg's, they are really nice pieces. 1
dino246gt Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 I've had this photo-etch air cleaner for years so I decided it was time to use it! Looks okay on the resin carb I had from who-knows-where. Need to make linkages and I really can't do much more until the body marries the frame! Engine needs to go in from the top, won't fit between the bottom of the inner fenders. Cheers! 5
bisc63 Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Excellent work so far, especially that engine! Should be a sharp build when complete. 1
