First of all, I never liked the landau version of the '66 bird so I made it a hardtop. The  teardrop hood scoop and steelies are from the Revell Thunderbolt, and I retro fitted the Round2 '62 Thunderbird chassis, what do you think?

I like it quite a bit. I've been considering doing one. I have a partial '66 kit and would need to source a '62 kit. I like the hood scoop. Doing the hardtop is a must!

That's pretty nice! I l love the t bolt hood grafted it into a 63 1/2 galaxie hood.20250818_174456.jpg.f2e1b0f74222d94381b882f7086ddd30.jpg20250819_084510.jpg.8d05524d6c4ff53c5fd46d9285d95411.jpg20251012_183303.jpg.8563b7704ac37885ab46a4807182128a.jpg

The Thunderbolt hood scoop will work in a pinch but I prefer the older style AMT version, it just seems more true to the original design because it's not so angular.

I like it, never thought of a Thunder(bird)bolt before, but it works very well. I never liked the Landau roof on the '66s either, big improvement there.

I started out just wanting to build it early NASCAR style but stole the pad printed tires and the wheels I had originally planned for it to use on another project. This was kind of an afterthought but thanks for your interest.
