Introduction

I joined this forum in the hopes that I can glean some knowledge and share some of my builds. I'm mainly a model railroader in 1/29 scale but use 1/25 kits for vehicles around the layout. Nothing too super detailed as they need to be handled and moved around as needed.

Eventually if I ever run out of train projects, I'd like to try scratch building a few more vehicles in 1/29. But that's a long ways off so for now the 1/25 stuff works and with some selective positioning for photos, it creates some forced perspective.

 

As I mentioned in the question thread, my current vehicle related project is AMT Mack truck and a scratch build of a Breda bus (I'll do that in 1/29).

Here's a few trucks I brought along for display at the local Railroad Prototype Modelers Meet ( model display event).

Kitbashed into a hi-rail truck. Nothing too fancy.

Kitbashed a lumber rack, added some dents but otherwise stock kit.

Pettibone Speed Swing. This is all scratch built in 1/29. These are used for moving rail and other odd pieces of equipment around. I used LEGO tires but now realize they are a bit too knobby. The boom is positional and can rotate.

I have some other feed mill trucks I've built but I can't find any photos at the moment.
