Got this kit a while ago and was wanting to build a 2 wheel drive with a 81-82 conversion from Icemans but looking at the conversion grill its made for the mpc kit not the revell stuff and I asked and he doesn't have that conversion for it sadly so I found a sod buster to do that with later. Meanwhile this truck I'm building as a stock 4x4 and am noticing a few pieces that I find unrestored truck pics and the bracing on the axles are not there so I'm wondering if they came factory or was this an "Bubba" parts?

Meanwhile I have stuff painted and other things ready for primer, just need to find some new primer since my favorite primer (full can and a half at that to) doesn't seem to want to spray through the nozzle???

Sean, you wouldn't really be able to do an '81/'82 with that kit anyway, you'd need not only the grille but hood, fenders and bumpers, not to mention the cowl is also very different between the '73-'80 and '81-'87 pickups.

But, yea, that bracing is aftermarket add-on stuff. Monogram put a lot of Hickey off road aftermarket parts in their 4X4 kits back in the '70s when that kit was tooled.
