Technics Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) A half a lifetime ago project revival. Been a bit nostalgic recently and wanted to bring to light the few projects that I have kept since my departure from the hobby ca. 2002/3. Construction is OOB apart from adding a 3mm styrene to increase the rear rake. Paint is original Tamiya TS-49 bright red, without any clear. Do not remember if I polished it or not. Has some small flaws and debris but very happy with the paint. Bare metal foil chrome lines all the exterior trim and circular hood latches. Can’t believe it’s withstood the time and I managed that nearly 25 years ago! No YouTube or fancy tools. Stone Age era. The front and rear detail areas were brush painted with humbrol enamel tin paint. If I remember correctly I specifically liked how it “gummed” up when scraping away excess as it began to dry. I liked it for detail painting keeping raised areas sharp and clean. I was fortunate enough to have place silver in a IPMS Toronto event back then with this. It was a rubble of loose parts which I since reglued as well as - Newly flocked the interior, Added aftermarket PE seatbelts, Painted the lamps with clear yellow Plan is to carefully assemble, do a panel line wash and soot the wheels / exhaust a bit. dphipps Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I like the red, it looks sharp. The flocking on that rear tray will be a nice detail visible through the big back window
