The primer I used is Valspar enamel, they sell it in a big can at Michael's craft store. I shot the white primer (they have both gray and white). I wanted the Dupli-Color Cayenne Red to stand out and was afraid that the gray wouldn't show the right shade of red, I am pleased with this color......
