cossett Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Hi all, On the subject of Western Stars, I built this Aussie Western Star Tipper straight from the box with a scratch built tipper body and sub frame. This was a good kit to build with so many variable's to make it. Cheers Cossett
mackinac359 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Nice work. The man with the broom looks as if he's saying "there, all cleaned up - the next guy who makes a mess will deal with the business end of the shovel." Tim
Jim B Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I like it, and I agree with Tim about the guy with the broom. What did you use to make the tipper box?
Dingo Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Cossett I have to agree with you on the variable that can be ues to build this Star by Iateri, and while on the subect of great rig this model of yours certainly is just that one great & very nicely built model well done my friend. Dingo
cossett Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 What did you use to make the tipper box? Hi Jim B, I used a Italeri No 3831 American Cargo Trailer used half the kit and then cut it to fit the Western Star As for the other half that is a "A-trailer" body Cheers Cossett
Kostas Parchas Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Nice work you have done. I like the Australian look of this kit, but it looks much better in a traditional USA setup. Kostas.
airhorn Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Really a nice build. I like the trim and good job adapting the bed. It looks ever bit as good as an Aussie as it would in a U.S. build. I'm guessing that a tipper in Australia would be a dump truck in the U.S. Win
