Hi all,

On the subject of Western Stars, I built this Aussie Western Star Tipper straight from the box with a scratch built tipper body and sub frame.

This was a good kit to build with so many variable's to make it.

Nice work.

The man with the broom looks as if he's saying "there, all cleaned up - the next guy who makes a mess will deal with the business end of the shovel."

I like it, and I agree with Tim about the guy with the broom.

What did you use to make the tipper box?

Hi Jim B,

I used a Italeri No 3831 American Cargo Trailer used half the kit and then cut it to fit the Western Star

As for the other half that is a "A-trailer" body

Really a nice build. I like the trim and good job adapting the bed. It looks ever bit as good as an Aussie as it would in a U.S. build. I'm guessing that a tipper in Australia would be a dump truck in the U.S.
