AMT 32 Ford Coupe

I'm a big fan of vintage box art and I've always wanted to do one of these. I dug through my parts stash, found the original first issue parts I needed and dug in using a later issue kit.

Here's the look I'm going for:

The initial parts layout, Gooche repro decals:

I used testor's MF blue in the square bottle thinned and airbrushed. It looks to me like the old Testor's PLA metallic blue:

Here's where I am with it now, paint is dry, ready to start assembly

So far this has been a lot of fun!

That defiantly looks like a fun build. I'm anxious to see it without all the glue smudges we all recall from building the original!! :(

It's always GREAT to see a box-art build at the shows when you set the model down next to the box!!
