I'll be driving up from Balmer in the AM. Should arrive at 10:00 EST.

Perhaps we have a few others going? I heard some mention a while back in one of the threads around here.

LOTSA pix!!

I'll be the guy with the long hair and the hawaiian print shirt [that'll make about 1,000 of us! LOL]

I'll have the NE accent, that'll be a dead giveaway!

Bob,

I was lucky enough to be there on Friday & Saturday. I had a great time. The weather did not cooperate 100%, so as usual, the NHRA screwed the Pro Mod guys again. One of the reasons I love the E-Town event is because of the Pro-Mods. I wish the NHRA would stop treating them as stepchildren. They put on a great show.

Yeah, the Pro Mod guys didn't get to qualify due to the downpour. It seemed like the rain that had been falling for the last month had affected the track in some way on Sat. The Pro Stock guys qualified with fast times and top speeds but the nitro cars had to much for the track.

Sunday was a different story though. Aside from the initial spritzing we got, it was good. The track temp stayed down and as the day went on everyone seemed to get faster. The Pro Mods got run late but they were super quick and that blue camaro was really ripping [forget who drives it].

That TA/FC of Alexis DeJornia going off the end of the track was the only real wrinkle in the whole day. My heart was in my throat when she hit the chutes and the just flew off the car! She hit the "beach" pretty quick and if you got to see the car it was bent straight up all the way to the blower! I'm super glad she was OK. I got a pic with her and my dad, GOD is she HOT!

Got a snoot full of nitro when Doug Kallita fired up so that was good [NOT!]. The nitro guys should have a siren or red light when they fire up. not everyone is aware that they are ready to go. learned something new as well. Some nitro motors take 5 gallons of oil, others take 4 gallons. interesting.....

I have pix and will post a few in a bit.

Glad you were there and had a good time.

I have worked EMS at E-Town for 35 years, I got to work the starting line with Rick Stewart on Friday, nothing beat being between 2 nitro cars when they are both running fat, I was working top end when Marty Nothstein and then Alexis both went through the nets. I was on Raceway Parks fire truck Sat and Sun. and we were first on scene for both wrecks. Alexis actually called back and asked for a broken piece of the sand barrel be given to her crew so she could have it as a souvenier. Her Dad owns Petron tequila and Paul Mitchell hair care products.

Jungle Pam, you can see the rain on her shoulder. This was later Sat.

She was so gracious...

What can I say? Cory Mac is the MAN!

Some snapperhead took a pic as I was taking this one so his flash made it blow out. I shopped it a bit but it's pretty washed out. Ashley was also gracious, but the throng of fans was quite overwhelming indeed.

Enjoy!
