Hey all to those in charge or in the know,

I made a few parts for myself (photo-etch), and I would like to see if anyone else would want some. It's not likely to become a part of my catalogue. I am making a few more, now that I have refined the design from my prototype. This is basicly a custom job, and once it's done, there will be, likely, no more made. I have room on the PE sheet I am doing, so would like to fill it out a bit, and help cover my costs, of course. ;)

What's the protocal for something like this?? Or is it a case of "Nothing to be sold except on emodelcars", plain and simple. Is there a section for anouncing new products?? Or in this case, custom parts??

Yes, plain and simple, no selling except on eModelCars.com

But, and yes, the big hairy butt, we do welcome new companies, product reviews, and such.

What I don't want to see is posts or threads: Oh, how much is this, can I get this, etc.

If you want to make an announcement, that's fine.

There is also a thread for links, advertisers, etc.

You can also send products in to me for review.

What I don't do, and never will, is review something that I have only seen online or in pictures, and not actually physically reviewed the product.

I think this is important to the readers, they know that I reviewed the product myself, or by one of our staff.

Cool.

So, just to be clear on this... If I did want to offer up these PE parts, I have to have them in hand and 1) Offer them on emodelcars.com, or 2) Make an announcement of a new product, and post a link to my website. Am I correct??

What I would like to do is this; See how many people would be intersted in this item, make that many, and then sell them to those interested. I don't want to make 20, and then only move 3. :P I also offer up to do some other custom stuff to fill out the sheet, not just the stuff I have come up with. Pretty much whatever you might need done.

Gregg, do you take bribes?? :D

Of course I take bribes!

Why do you think I got into politics?

For most of the products I have seen from new vendors, yes, the product has to be made and ready to ship first.

The only exception is resin bodies, which can be cast as they receive orders.

Offering something for sale that is not yet available is something I would not support.

There are some photoetch stuff I would like to get done for the magazine, license plate frames, etc.

Yeah, selling something you do not have is bad business. But, what I am doing is like casting; get the number of units needed, then make that many.

1/25 PE Plates - What do you need?? I have plenty of room on this sheet. Hence, the posting of the question. :P
