ZIL 111V Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Any Mercury sleeper kits from the 50-s-70's made by an aftermarket resin caster in 1/25th scale? The Bigger & slightly taller boxes than the AMT one
Bubba Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 AI Truck Models (http://www.aitruckmodels.com/) lists one, a 60" Mercury in their web site. Good Luck, Brent
SpreadAxle Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/sb6_mer...nchsleeper.html Click on this link and you can view the sleeper. It's $10 plus shipping. It will take 2 AMT sleepers and some "cutting and pasting" to make one yourself.
SpreadAxle Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 ...Exactly what I'm looking for, Thanks. Anytime. Glad to help.
Jim B Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Ok, I'm confused (what else is new). What is the appeal of a Mercury sleeper? Didn't most truck manufacturers offer sleepers back then? Aren't they an aftermarket item? Was it a "cool factor"? Are they still in business?
RyanSilva Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Here is reading material http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/forum01/...p?topic=31492.0 It was a cool factor on top of a well made bunk, converting a daycab into a bunk back.
SpreadAxle Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Ryan, that was a cool link with great pix. Thanks 4 sharing.
