New resin wheels

These detailed wide-5's are now available from Replicas & Miniatures Company of Maryland. 4 wheels and 4 backing plates per package. Norm says he'll probably sell them for $7.95 BUT THAT IS NOT YET A FIRM PRICE.

I detailed one by slightly grinding the back with a Dremel to open the slots. I didn't want to do that on the master because I thought it might be too fragile to cast. You can fill in between the "spokes" with flat black paint is you wish.

These can be used on stock '36 thru "39 Ford cars or pickups, dirt track cars, rods or rat rods.

When I made my set I broke through them sanding the backs for the holes.

Now those could be JUST what I've been looking for for some time ... something with that many slots to model a set of cheap wheels I had on a VW bug. They even have the VW rim "look" as far as the interior hole. Even a valve stem .. lovely!!
