Modelmartin Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 These two Fujimi kits were finished recently. They are both 1/24th scale. The red one was driven in the 1994 Monte Carlo Rally and is a Fujimi release built out of the box mostly. The blue car wears Studio 27 decals (Who else, Sherlock?) and was sponsored by them and run in the 2001 International rally in Hokkaido, which is the northernmost island of Japan. These were both easy builds. The Fujimi kit pretty much falls together. The only issue is filling in the ghosted lines from the sunroof cutout/ The paint lifts the lines from the underside so I had to backfill it underneath and then do a couple of prime-sand cycles to get it to go away. The third car is something I did a few years ago and is a "what-if?" for the Revell New Mini.

Randy Kern Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 (edited) Very cool, and all three done to your usual high quality, Andy! Are those Fujimi wheels & tires on the New Mini? Edited July 10, 2009 by Randy Kern
Modelmartin Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 The Fujimis are curbside kits. The wheels on the New Mini are Aoshimas or somesuch. I liked how they looked like big Minilites! I am working on another Fujimi rally car and a Tamiya Cooper racer. Can you tell I dig minis?
