From one of my favorite movies as a kid. Still like it to this day. Back in the day when Cruise wasn't that creepy midget that jumped on Oprah's couch and Nicole Kidman was at peak hotness. But more importantly, it was a movie that we could watch that didn't have Kevin Costner in it!

I kind of rushed this build and it shows, but all in all it looks good on the shelf.

Nathan that looks great. Nice and clean and will look great on your shelf. I hope to one day get all of the Days of Thunder cars to build and display. I too liked that movie. Just not actively searching for them yet. Although I have noticed they bring a little bit more money than regular NASCAR kits do right now.

Nice job, but it's too slick. Need to tear off half the front air dam and bash the sides in ... lol.

I gotta agree with ya beefheart22 about the movie.

I think it was his last decent movie B-4 He got Creepie.

Loved the Movie and always wanted to build the car.

Looks Great..

I have to agree. I don't think the car was ever shown without some kind of rash,

in the movie was it? (LOL)

Only time they looked great was there first debut right after the paint shop. lol. After that, they were toast.

HAS anyone ever caught the screw up where he's looking at his stuck gas pedal and he's talking into the radio, but his mouth is not moving at the time ... lol.

They probably messed it up in editing because we all know they had to stop the cameras and remove the phone books Cruise was sitting on he could reach the pedals.

Thanks for the kind words everybody!

It's true, every car in that movie was bruised and battered beyond recognition! The City Chevy one was probably a heap of scrap parts by the time Paramount was done with it and the Superflo car is probably still scattered across several states. I think the Mello Yello car was left in the best condition out of all of 'em! You know, if you over look the ripped air dam, mangled quarter panels, tire scuffs, twisted bumper, busted tranny linkage, 'sticky' gas pedal, probably a burnt clutch and frosted in a 1/4" of dirt, oh and a *hot* engine if you know what I mean. :)

"You're late!"

"... We had car trouble. Ain't that right, Cole?"
