Howdy, I recently got a 96' s10 pickup from a family friend who knows i love building, I decided i want to do a mini truck type build but I'm stuck on the suspension. It'd be pretty cool to keep the leaf's but if i cant thats o.k. Any ideas? I'm already searching the web for suspension setups.

Thanks,Jeff

so many possibilities, four link, three link, ladder bar, cantilever, etc. you could even keep the leaves and do it simple. id suggest looking at the IF customs site they have a lot of build pictures. the devious customs site has some good pictures as well.

thats the main readon i dont like live axles  with IRS the diffy botls to the body(or frame) then your knuckles are held up with one shock and three bars connecting it to the diffy(and half shafts).

I thought about doing air bags(it would explain it being slammed) but i dont even know where to start wiht how ot mount the axle to the frame, besides shocks.

one thing you could consider is an over under swap

im asuming right now the rear axle is mounted underneath the leafs right ?

just bring it up and attach it to the top of the leafs

make sure you install some good U clamps and you should be fine

(not really an option if you are building a show truck but if it is a budget build...)

or if you like the IRS option, there are many mini trucks rolling around with custom rear IRS as well
