James W Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I was contemplating disassembly of an old build-up for the umpteenth time to get the wheels, and then I saw the grill and knew I had to pull it apart. Here is the kit. It has been released many times since the 70's so it should be easy to find second hand. Russian lettering adds to the kool factor About the same top profile as 41 chev grill, even though it is 1:35 scale. Half as tall as 34 pickup grill it dose not need to be chopped for a track-T If you vacuum form the top of the shell and attach it to the bottom it would be complete. Part is flat on the bottom side. Hope this helps someone. I know I will be using this one shortly.
Jairus Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 An inspired and interesting tip there James! I know that I will be watching the military model shelf from now on...
krow Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I bow to a true genius. I had a stack of 3 of these that were handed to me as a swap was closing down years ago, and wondered what (if anything) I could do with 'em. I was always looking at the rails for the Katyusha rockets as frame fodder and that sorta thing but this idea just never occurred to me. I like the track 'T' look and the bits from the Revell Model A kits always looked ok, but this is just so darn cool. Sounds like the rat rodders are going to start trolling the armor aisles at the LHS pretty soon... It's Brilliant! Brilliant! Ken R
