Len Woodruff Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 The wheels & tires are from the 1/24 Monogram 66 Shelby Mustang. Does any kit have these race style (no hubs) that is 1/25th?
Ken Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Doesn't the AMT 62 Bel Air have those? They are not chrome, but on the regular tree. I also believe that the Revell 32 Fords have them... Let me go check...
Ken Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 It would appear that the AMT 62 Bel Air has these. They have the race hubs, but are not chrome plated. The ones in the 32 ford are chrome plated, but do not have the 'race' hub. I imagine that you could sand down the hub that is on the 32 examples if you need the rims in chrome. Otherwise, I would use the 62 Bel Air rims.
Len Woodruff Posted July 26, 2009 Author Posted July 26, 2009 Thanks Ken. I have both of those and they have the center cover. Your correct I could cut off the center caps.
Scalefinishes Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Aren't they also in the '68 GT350? http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product.sc?ca...p;productId=102 Hope that helps, Jameston
LOBBS Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I'm pretty sure that the Revell Owens-Corning/Stars and Stripes '68 Vette have them without the center caps. I've got about a half dozen of them downstairs let me know if you need a set.
LOBBS Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I think it took longer to find the camera than to find the wheels. Sorry, they're a bit dusty but here are the ones from the Owens-Corning/Stars and Stripes Vette. The spokes are textured not smooth. Now that my work schedule is getting back to somewhat normal I need to make a trip to the post office anyways to finish up a few deals so let me know if you want them. Kyle "LOBBS" Laubscher
dwc43 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 If you want real Torque Thrust wheels with the cone shaped center cap for street use, just rob some from the '68 Mustang GT Bullitt kit. I think that is what you are wanting.
