I like what I see, it has real potential. I take it that the lines on the posts are for your planned chop? The 502 is a massive motor in 1:1 that would scream. While I'm not a fan of wide low profile tires they do add a different flavor to the build.

There is a car club here in the northwest called Unique Tin. They sponsor a car show the 3rd weekend of August every year. Their motto "Unique is what we seek, Bizarre is what we are!" Your '32 Sedan would fit right in.

I was thinkin' of choppin' it, but i think that it looks perty good how it is so i probably won't. the grill will be a little more closer to 90 degree's (prob. 80ish :) ). i got the front axle on it now and it has a perty stance. i just need to figure out how i'm gonna do the interior door pannels 'cause since i tucked the frame under the body, i'll most likey have to trim them up at least 3"-4" scale inches.

yea that 502 otta' put a wet spot on the drivers seat

Thanks and i can't stop now!!! i've already caught the disease !!!

Can't be waitin' to see mo' pics Viz :) You says it has a perty stance with the front axe on-- well, you mustas gots the back axel on too!

Normally, I'd say go fer the chop, but you seem to got the 'look' just right so far-- and with that stock top-- it looks 'classic' or maybe better put: "Class-sic"

I'm not sure that 'rat rod' is a good description of that car, with big-ticket items like the 502 and F&F wheels, but I do like the the stance and stretch.

*I couldn't make out the rears, but the directional front tires are pointed in the wrong direction

ohh, it's just that on those mock up pics i had't put the axle on the front. Da back has been on since my udda post.

alright i was gonna paint it today but it came up a storm out side so maybe tomarrow :) . in the meantime i wired the distributer and went to the LHS and got some orange paint.

Heres the Engine:

As for the wheels i was thinkin' it would look good if i could paint them flat black with an orange lip. Kind of like Linetex's yellow F430 (http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21892 ).

here's a birds eye view:

Looking great buddy! The wheels and body came out real nice.

Are you going to leave the roof insert black or will it end up a different color?

Seeing this gives me some motivation to finish mine up.

Cant wait to see the final product.

OHH NOOO!!!! I was puttin' it together and I had a little dab of glue on my finger, but didn't know about it and i grabbed the body. i kept trying to put it on the chassis and i didn't kno i was just rubbin' in. :) the paint rubbed off and there are traces of my fingerprints on it. i guess i'll have to paint it tommaro AGAIN.

Ah man, that stinks! what kind of glue was it?

The insert is totally up to you man.

On a 1:1 car the insert is usually either made from a fabric of choice or is welded shut with sheet metal for a hard top finish. Some guys even leave the insert missing for a permanent sunroof of sorts (with or without the structural wood).

I think your 32' would looks great black on black but i think it might need a few rubs with a greasy finger to differentiate between the paint on the body and the fabric material of the insert, IMO.

it was just testors glue. i sanded it back down and re-shot it. i think i'll just keep the insert flat black. i like how it looks. i might have it put together tomarrow, if i can get off work early. <_<

That's one wild looking 32!

The engine looks great and I like what you did with the rims.

Keep up the progress.

thanks man. hopefully i will have it put somewhat together tomarow nite. ;)

alright as i promised here are some pics of it mocked up. all i have to do is adjust the front ride height, find some brakes, and do a little more gluin' and she'll be all together. :D

:)OK Billy! Me like! Really love that rear view with them big tall stock windows (probably really slow it down if'n you put the glass in :);) )

You talkin' about adjusting the front ride height-- don't look like you can go much lower unless you grind some of the body off  ? Lookin' pretty good to me-- and I just love lookin' at them big windows B) !

Didn't notice it before on your earlier engine pic, but Dude! them plug wires don't end there at the valve cover!-- It don't look all that bad the way they are, but, if'n you go Google-in' fer some pics of a real live engine you'll probly see 'zactly where they should end up. I aint no xpert by no means on any engine ('cepting MR SKWIRLS 4banger  ), but I'd be willing ta bet them plug wires should go below the valve cover and/or in betweens the header pipes, where they mount to the head.

Still a great lookin rod what I'd be real proud to test drive fer ya B)

oh yeah! what's that cool lookin' thing in the background of this here pic:

100_1288.jpg

 looks kinda like a 51 Bel Air with a really cool BIG scoop on it? Can we see more of dat?

Pretty please?? :D
