  1. Great work Bob! I've got a Cranberry red Chevelle in the planning stages, just got my paint from MCW and a set of "Red Alert" decals. I will start that early next summer, hopefully! Keep up the good work Bob! Oh, I just about forgot. Try using white chalk for the raised lettering. Its not as bright as the gel pens but Its really quick and easy to do. Just rub on and clean around the letters with a toothpick(or something similar). It will rub off so you can either seal it with acrylics or just don't handle the tires afterwards.
  2. Absolutely beautiful!! Looks like the real thing in that first photo.
  3. Welcome to the boards. Man you do nice work, I love the the scalopped roadster!

    1970 Buick GS

Yes they are beautiful cars. Nice work Kevin!
  5. Hmmm, I was surprised to see this one up again. When I seen the title I was excited to see somebody else model then I realized it was my thread.lol Anyways, thanks for the props guys. 67-72 chevys are my favorite body style so I wanted to do this one justice, despite the shortfalls of the kit. roadhawg, the color is called Ocean blue, its an automotive paint offered in the motomaster series. Its actually close to grabber blue, but that was just from comparing the caps. I look forward to seeing what you can do with this kit.
  6. Wow, that is nice! Great stance and choice of wheels, it really makes the car. One thing though, it still not too late to black wash that grill. Blackwash or not, she's a beaut!!
  7. I love learning the inspiration behind a great looking build. Thanks for sharing!
  8. What can I say that hasn't already been said, amasing work!
  9. Nice work man, it turned out great!!
  10. Very cool!! Its nice to see the bird in different feathers once in awhile.
  11. Nice work! Paint looks awesome, and the flat black accents look perfect, I like it!
  12. Nice work on your Chevelle! I like the weathering on the big block and chassis. I want to try more of this in the future, I've just started trying weathering myself. Anyway, keep showing us those builds.
  13. Thanks guys! I decided to mock up a couple other sets of rims and tires. And a more traditional style.
  14. This is the Revelle Mustang. This is the third paintjob this model has had. The first one was my fault, I grabbed the wrong can of clear when going to add the last and final wet coat, that was back in 2004. So I ended up doing a quick paint job and ended up losing the side vents. I was never happy with the way the paint ended up especially since the blue paint was so good. So I finally got some replacement vents and got to work on earlier this summer, and here's how it looks now. Ive pretty much given up on the Mach version. Not sure If I will use these wheels just had them on hand so I used them for a quick mock up.
  15. Thanks guys!! Molded in detail was removed from the grill area and P/E grill is painted and is ready to be assembled. The center bar needed to be sanded down quite a bit more than the top and bottom because the grill bulges out in the middle. the Z-16 rear fascia was dechromed, painted black and BMF'd. I can't tell you how many tries it took to get those strips of BMF to look acceptable. I ended up taping two blades together to get a straight, crisp, and uniform strips.
  16. Thanks for the nice comments guys!!
  17. Thanks for all the great comments guys!!! and more
  18. Wow, I can't believe you brush painted that 55, the model look great. As for the Buick, not something I would do with the kit I have, but it looks interesting enough.
  19. So this is where this model sits now, the body and chassis are now one. When I put the chassis into the body all the BMF around the wheels wells lifted off and wouldn't stick anymore. So I removed all of the BMF around the wheel wells and will order a new sheet of regular chrome, I will never use ultra bright chrome again. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH Any way here is a picture of everything installed in the engine bay, well not everything, there are still a few wires to add yet. Oh, I just noticed my brake booster clip got bent out of shape, will have to fix that.
  20. Finally got some time to get some outdoor pics, Color is Cayanne red by duplicolor.
