  1. Wow, that is amazing craftmanship!!!
  2. Great work on your Willy Mr Cardinal! I love your custom decals, especially the rivets on the chassis. And all the hinges, wow, you went all out. Two thumbs way up here!
  3. Finally have been getting comfortable with the airbrush so here's the first paint job completed with it. The color is a Duplicolor touch up paint called frosted Met blue, I thought it looked close enough to Plymouths Frost blue, key word being "thought"lol. I didn't do all that well laying the paint then to make matters worse I ran out of the color, I think I have learned the art of thinning, the hard way! Its pretty much box stock, well that was the intention, funny how things never work out that way.
  4. Thanks guys. I will be using a 429 for an engine, sorry no pic yet, and the wheels are a combination of stock, Pegasus sleeves in the back and Aoshima rings in the front. Front suspension will be corvette and the rear will be truck arm (nascar inspired). Ive already tubbed the rear and added sub frame connectors. I made the fuel cell too big so I need to make a smaller one and reroute the lines, I had to deconstruct everything to paint the chassis anyways. Here's a comparison shot of the chassis.
  5. Here's one Ive been working on and off for a couple years, mostly because I ruined the first paint job and couldn't get the paint off the body. So I got two new kits and started on a new paint scheme. Here's the body as it sits now.
  6. Hey thx Kelson glad you like it!
  7. Here's a project I lost interest in about a year ago after the body was painted Charcoal by Duplicolor. Couple weeks ago got the idea to do a 500 version instead of my original idea of a Street Machine. Its AMT's General Lee body bashed with the 71 Charger with some added parts box items. Its not even close to accurate but its better than sitting in the box.
  8. Thats a great combo, great work!! I love the trailer!
  9. Thats a cool looking ride, great work!!
  10. Nice work on both! Yeah that General Lee kit is ######. Are those the AMT decals on the General?
  11. Thats a super build, well done!!
  12. Thanks! No the color is dark blue Metalic by Plasticote.
  13. Thanks Charlie!!
  14. Another one complete, its nice to get some projects finished up for a change. This ones pretty basic. I didn't do any engine detail, thanks to the metal axle through the engine bay, I did add a couple goodies to the interior like, seatbelts, scratch built a roll cage and fuel cell and added a couple parts box items. I accomplished what I set out to do and that was have fun. On with the pics.
  15. thanks Brian!!
  16. Thanks Chris, glad you like it!
  17. Great work, but thats a 68.
  18. Here it is, my first Tamiya kit, built basically box stock. I added weathering to give it the raced look. Glad to have conquered these decals, now I'm not so intimidated by them anymore. I hope to add more detail to my next WRC build, just not so sure when I can get to it as I have many other projects to finish up. Anyway, on with the pics.
  19. That look awesome, i love what you did with the rims!
  20. That looks awesome!! I've been working on a G-Machine Fairlane on and off for three years, I considered trying, key word TRYING, some flames like that after I ruined my tu-tone paint job. Thanks for posting, its just the inspiration I need to get back to mine.
  21. Impressive collection!! These were my favorite but I really liked them all.
  22. Very nice, goes to show with a little care those metal axle AMT kits can turn out to be great looking models. BTW what your top made from??
  23. Thx for the info, glad you like it!
