Hello there. I am totally in love with Kyosho's 1/43 scale RC car, the Dnano pictured here.

What I'd like to know is this. Are there any 1/43 scale plastic model kit's of some exotic sports cars, WRC cars, or classic Ferrari's that I might be able to use on this chassis?

I have two of Herpa's 1/43 scale highly detailed plastic models, both the Ferrari F-40 and Ferrari 355, all doors open, but I don't want to take those apart strictly for the RC car.

Could you please provide me with a list and possibly some photo's of 1/43 scale kit's and where I might find theme? Anybody have any that they might not be using? Thank you!

It would be pretty sweet to have the classic Ferrari 250 GTO since Kyosho makes it for their 1/28 scale cars.

The AMT 1/43rds all came out from 68 -70 approximately and they were quite a few of them, 15 or so differnt cars. Some were custom versions only, most were stock. You may like the XKE they had and 2 Corvettes. They did some muscle cars, too. In the 80s LS did three 1/43rd plastic kits that came with a diorama garage scene that were pretty nice. I remember a BB512 and 2 other exotics but I can't remember what they were( a lambo and a Maser?).

Thank's guys! Anybody have any photo's or link's to these kit's?

Thank's again, I just searched ebay and noticed there were not very many at all listed. I did however find one of my favorite compact sports cars, the Renault R5-Turbo from Heller. I might get that for my Dnano, but would probably need to set up the Dnano for HM type chassis instead of the MM that the Murcielago has.

Also, would resin work or is that too fragile for RC racing? Plus, is resin plastic or die-cast? I'm interested in some resin kit's that are 1/43 in scale but can't tell if their plastic or die-cast!

Thank's guys. If it's suitable for slot-car bodies, I'm sure it's suitable for RC car's as long as your careful and not bash into other cars or furniture and what not. Other question is, is it light compared to die-cast? Die-cast metaled bodies are too heavy for RC, one needs light plastic material. The plastic used on the Dnano bodies is I believe regular model plastic but not 100% sure.

Light weight and durability are two requirements for RC car driving. Durability is a MUST for racing with other's on the track.

I am still curious about those resin 1/43 scale Koenig kit's I see listed on ebay. I'd love to have a KS Competition body for my Dnano if it's suitable.

Interesting web site there, I've browsed through it for a while and found some interesting stuff. Would like to find some decals to turn a Ferrari 360 Modena into a GTC racing version. Kyosho does have the Modena in Dnano form, but it's only the street version. I'd like to make one into a GTC racing version and would need 1/43 scale decals to do that with.

Thank's for the info!
