This is my latest creation, I used a Ford mail tractor and stretched the frame. The tanker body, rear storage bin, and equipment boxes are scratch built. I also made all the decals except the #29s and the one decal on the right rear. I used the front wheels off an AMT fire engine, and the rear wheels are from the Peerless log trailer. I used Tamiya orange for the cab, and Camouflage grey for the lower body and chassis. It came out better than I expected. Not being a real fan of this truck, I have to admit I'm starting to like it.

That is an absolute great build! For me the one thing that really sets it off is the HazMat placards. Your attention to detail and building skills are fantastic. How long did it take to put together?

One more thing, you need to enter this in a contest, it is very deserving.

I only wish you had told of how you constructed the tank body. See I did the same thing a couple of years ago on a Ford truck model I drove at a local Heating oil jobber here in Richmond Virginia . I took 020 sheet and pretty much rolled it around some internal baffles within the tank. I then took Plastic Auito body filler and made the ends as they were kind of oval . Mabye I should get my helper to re- post the pictures of the truck I did again . Ed Shaver
