Door hinges

I can't quite get my head around how these would work. Has anyone used them or similar? I figure these would be functional unlike scratch built paper clip ones I usually see.

i could be wrong, since i have not used these, but it looks like the red pieces would bend 90 degrees to the black piece and the holes, indicated by the arrows, would be for the hinge pin.

Fatkidd is right, I do have a set just have not used them yet
