samm1970 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I built this model as a tribute to a Z28 I owned about 15 yrs. ago. It's very close to the real car, leaving out a few things such as MSD box, electric fan, etc.....The overall of feel of the model is a great representantion of the real car.The model has a BBC w/ aluminum heads, a Team G intake(as close looking to one as could find in the parts box), Dominator Carb, a built Super T 10 transmission, long tube headers, etc just like the 1:1.I built the model w/ no exhaust(yet), the real car had a 3" slip on exhaust system that was easily removable.Just like the real car the block was painted blue to match the darkest blue in the Z28 stripe. Thank's for looking, Sam
Raul_Perez Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Very clean build!! I remember when these first hit the street. Thanks for sharing,
ChrisPflug Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Nice work. What is the base kit? Looks to be the ex-Monogram 1/24 '79 Z28 with an engine swap (or at least valve covers, intake and carb)
LVZ2881 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Nice!! I had a red '79 z28 for my first car....
RodneyBad Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Good looking Camaro. Nice white with the blue stripes. Great looking Engine too.
Slickpaint Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Very nice Camaro!!......that big block looks right at home in there!!..................Frank
