purplehornies Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Well done. The 32 is a very novel idea. Both are nicely done.
my80malibu Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Yes I do like your models, 32 fords are one of my favorite kind of car for streetrods. great work on both of those builds.
Raul_Perez Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 First of all Janne, welcome to the forum! Don't worry about your English, we all speak the universal language of "modeling"! besides, some of us Americans don't do so well in the English speaking area! Now, those are two very sharp models that I like a lot. The color scheme & ideas on your 32 are very unique & make for an interesting & different looking rod. Very cool!!! Your 69 Shelby is just plain sweet!!! Great color for it. I like them both a lot! Again, welcome to the forum! I think this is the best & friendliest overall group of car modelers you'll find on the Web. Any question you might have, feel free to ask, somebody will either now the answer or can point you to it. I'll second all of that!! But, I was expecting to see a big old nasty 427 from the '64 Ford Thunderbolt sitting under the hood of your '32 based on the title of the post. Hmmm...that gives me some ideas for all of those Thunderbolt and '32 kits I have sitting around... Thanks for sharing,
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 21, 2009 Author Posted August 21, 2009 Thank you guys for all nice comments. Idea in 32 was the paintjob what is near of fighter plane P-47D-30 Thunderbolt. Guest Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Welcome to the cellblock! Very nice builds. You have to tell us how you did the paint on the 32, and what color is the Shelby?
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Thank you! Color of Shelby is Humbrol enamel, 222 was number of can. In 32 the lowerbody is covered by aluminiumtape, its almost like chrome but not so shiny. Then i just brushed red, green ant that almost sraight blue stripe. Engine and chassis is blackwashed with some brown dust. With 32 i spent 2 days to make it So it was superfast-project...
