It has been quite a while since I last visited this site, and I do miss ya'll. And since I am busy studying, my models has to be put on hold, and I have been buying diecasts models to keep myself preoccupied.

Went back to my hometown last Thursday, and went to a LHS and got poisoned.

Here's what I managed to buy

- Fujimi 17" Volk Racing Formula S

- Fujimi 17" WORK EQUIP Voggerd

- Revell 1/24 Ford Mustang GTO 7/Eleven

- Aoshima Toyota Hilux 4x4 Pick Up

- Revell 1/24 Chevrolet Fleetside '72

- Italeri 1/35 Leopard 2 A5

Well, sad thing is, the Hilux has several wheels missing, and the clear parts were gone. The Fleetside and Mustang GTO seems complete, other than the decal issue.

I just wanna ask is there any way that I might be able to salvage the Hilux and not end up purely for just spare parts? As for the Mustang GTO, my plan is to paint it all white, aka test car style, as the decals are more than 20 years old ! (kit dated back to 1987)

Hope that someone might be able to help me out.

Cheers,

Eric

for the hi lux wheels you could try some of the fine off road wheels from so real concepts.they are not stock but they sure are cool.as for the clear parts try making your own windows by placing a piece of tape across the window opening and tracing the opening then carefully remove tape and place on a piece of clear plastic and cut out slightly larger than the line you traced you may have to trim a little to get the fit just right start with the rear window then the sides and that should give enough practice to attempt the windsheild. as for headlight covers and tail lights im not sure .good luck and look forward to seeing your builds.

These were from a LHS? Were they sold as open, "As Is" kits? Seems you should get better satisfaction from a shop... this sounds more like Ebay. I guess Aoshima would be my first stop to try to get replacement parts if this isn't too old a kit.

Well, can't expect much for a RM5 (circa US$ 1.50) kit. But I do have some plans up my sleeve for that Hilux.

Thank god that only the clear parts and wheels were missing, not the body parts.

Was thinking of using some Lego wheels to go with it..
